Dave Simison offers Divorce Mediation directly to the couple or on referral by the Anne Arundel County Circuit Court since 1998.

Divorce Mediation addresses future parenting if there are children and in all cases the financial issues; financial support and division of marital property, including the marital home.

Mediation helps minimize the emotional trauma both parties face and can be especially helpful when there are children.  It is demonstrated time and again that children of divorce face many more challenges growing up and their challenges grow exponentially if their parents remain in conflict.  Mediation helps minimize the conflict allowing the parents to focus on future parenting.

In Mediation you meet with me with or without your attorneys. We will discuss the terms of a Property Settlement including the marital home, vehicles, furniture and furnishings, bank accounts, pensions, taxes, IRA's and we will work on a Parenting Plan if you have children. Usually an outline of your Property Settlement can be created after two sessions and the Parenting Plan in another two sessions. The outline will then be used by your attorney to draft a Marital Settlement Agreement or we can discuss how I can draft the Marital Settlement Agreement.

I am a certified mediator and I have helped hundreds of people through divorce.

Please contact me to set an appointment for your initial one hour consultation in which you and your spouse will set the agenda.  das@daslaw.com or 410.268.7787
